4. Summary of TP composite performance

Table 4 shows the comparative advantages and disadvantages of thermosets and the main families of thermoplastic composites (SFT, LFT, TRE and CLFT).

Table 5 compares the mechanical properties of the main TP composite families.

Among these large families of thermoplastic composites, polyamide (PA), polyester (PET/PBT) and PP resins account for the bulk of SFT applications, while PP represents the bulk of LFT, TRE and CLFT applications.
