8. Current trends in the evolution of the brewery keg
Today's brewery keg trend is moving in several directions:
gain access to areas where draught flow is made difficult by a lack of infrastructure and equipment. In this case, the barrel itself will be fitted with means of pressurization and self-cooling at the draw (figure 12 );
short-cut drum washing and the use of CO 2 by commissioning so-called "pocket" drums.
All these systems are appealing, but unfortunately they come at a cost which means that the cylindrical brewery keg with built-in plunger still has a bright future ahead of it.
