Packaging manufacturers have proposed a number of global solutions, whatever the material used, to reduce environmental impact.

  • Reduced packaging weight

    With the aim of maintaining and even improving performance, while reducing weight, three key areas of research have been developed:

    • computer-aided design, which has resulted in better material distribution, more consistent thicknesses and fewer fracture initiators;

    • quality control, which has enabled us to raise the average production level by guaranteeing very low return rates;

    • research into new materials used either as packaging materials or as additives in varnishes, glues and inks.
