3. Examples of studies – Industrial issues

In recent years, scientific and technical work on wood has confirmed the principle of microbiological, chemical and organoleptic inertia with respect to the foodstuffs it contains, enabling us to meet the expectations of consumers, the agri-food industry and retailers in terms of controlling the food safety of wood packaging.

Inertia tests are carried out under conditions simulating those for which the wood material is to be used.
