2. Corrugated cardboard packaging

2.1 Manufacturing

The three main product families are :

  • cases with flaps (notching and creasing on slotter) ;

  • cutting (notching and creasing on rotary press or platen) ;

  • small-scale shaping.

Printing and assembly operations are common to the first two families.

In all cases, the raw material is corrugated sheetboard. Sheet dimensions are always given in order: width (parallel to flutes) and cut length (perpendicular to flutes).

Pack dimensions are always given in the following order:
