7. Manufacturers' views on the pros and cons of predictive maintenance 4.0
According to Usine Nouvelle's article entitled "Few manufacturers are taking advantage of 4.0 to liberate data" , which reports on the findings of a study carried out by Coleman Park and commissioned by US software publisher Oracle, only a third of companies are using new Industry 4.0 technologies, and 40% of these have invested in an IoT platform. The study surveyed 700 executives from companies with more than 250 employees in 7 different countries. According to the survey, adopting Industry 4.0 is not necessarily a guarantee of results, and more than half of companies that have installed connected sensors to enable machines and information systems...
