3. Industrial applications
The challenges of creating miniaturized products that are ever more functional, autonomous and versatile continue to grow and diversify. Today, they concern a wide range of applications, including surgery, instrumentation and telecommunications. At the same time, these challenges are leading to significant developments in microrobotics, which offer particularly promising solutions for certain fields of application. This is the case for microassembly and the characterization of miniature components. In this section, we will first review recent developments in microrobotic systems, and then look at the different types of application.
