If we consider the original field of manufacturing product development, which we have already touched on, there too applications have multiplied. From presentation prototypes for communications or marketing departments, to product maintenance through rapid re-industrialization of spare parts, rapid tooling, customization and so on, every department in the company is now likely to use the 3D scanning – rapid prototyping pair, and even more so for rapid product development.
