5.1 Definition of the simultaneous approach
The transition to the simultaneous model has its origins in a global cooperative approach for the company, which takes the form of the creation of project groups. The value of such an approach can be illustrated by a metaphor: that of a puzzle game that can be played according to two strategies. The first, which has similarities with the sequential model, is to play separately and piece together a part of the picture without worrying about what the others are doing. Sooner or later, you'll reach a deadlock, as it's highly unlikely that each player will have pieces corresponding to just one part of the picture. In the second strategy, before placing a piece, each player examines the different parts of the image formed by the other players...
