5. Policy life cycle ("Fire")

The industrial risks branch has developed a specific approach to fire risk analysis. The purpose of the "visit" to the industrial site by the insurer's engineer is to :

  • identify damage risks, including sources of ignition, combustible and flammable products, various propagation factors, building construction, hazardous processes, etc. ;

  • assess whether the means of prevention, compartmentalization, detection, protection and intervention are well designed, well maintained, reliable and adequate;

  • assess the risks of interruption (operating losses), in particular in terms of the existence of neuralgic points, production bottlenecks, the number of production lines, their utilization rate, the possibility of troubleshooting both internally and externally to the site or company,...
