The strategy of any company, whatever its sector of activity, is now based on sustainable development, with the environment as one of its three pillars, alongside the economy and social responsibility.
Taking the environment into account can lead to new development opportunities (for example, by offering services or products that are more compatible with sustainable development, or by better controlling energy consumption), but it also undeniably entails constraints that can translate into new financial burdens.
On the other hand, refusing to take the environmental dimension of a company's activities into account can be much more costly than integrating it: not to mention an environmental disaster that could jeopardize a company's very existence, but the loss of markets if competitors offer products that are just as competitive but better...
