Home to some 80% of the population of France and Europe, cities are much more than just places to consume. With the tertiarization of the economy, conurbations are becoming major production centers. Urban areas are at the heart of all planning and development policies. As a result, goods are at the crossroads of many issues.
This strategic positioning requires the ability to meet the challenges of a city that is increasingly consuming goods, which are part of complex logistics chains where time management is fundamental. All this within a framework constrained by urban realities, linked to the city's morphology and its transport infrastructures. ELUs must therefore satisfy three missions: the first is quantitative, the second qualitative, and the third urbanistic.
