Logistics costs encompass all costs associated with the movement of a logistics unit within a given system. They can be broken down into four main costs: inventory holding costs; warehousing costs; transport costs; structure costs.
Interface; interface
In a supply chain, an interface is the place where two systems meet and interact. We usually distinguish between internal interfaces between functions within the same company (e.g. purchasing, production, distribution) and external interfaces with suppliers and customers.
