FrançaisABSTRACT
Supply chain benchmarking enables companies to transmit their issues, measure their performances objectively, identify improvement axes and have an influence on future supply chain management developments. This article presents the results of the first benchmarking study carried out in Europe. Evidently, measuring performances is currently crucial for companies wishing to survive in an increasingly competitive environment. Companies that do not have a clear vision of their performances will find it extremely difficult to implement their operational management. They must know what their competitors performances are and also their consumer satisfaction rate in order to identify improvement axes.

INTRODUCTION
This article presents the results of the first benchmarking study carried out in Europe using the SCOR model (Supply Chain Operations Reference model). It was carried out by Nicolas Roman, Vincent Poisson, Coralie Ceccarello, Cecile Pestre and Gus Neser of ISLI (Institut Supérieur de Logistique Industrielle, BEM) in collaboration with iCognitive and the SCC (Supply-Chain Council), which designed and developed the SCOR model.
The study was led by ISLI Director Dominique Estampe and iCognitive President John Paul.
