Integration is a key concept in logistics, and the bearer of an organizational myth: the integrated supply chain, which implies a strong adaptation of its components.
Analysis of supply chain integration reveals dimensions that are often underestimated in logistics integration projects. In addition to the traditional technical aspects of integrating processes, systems (particularly information systems) and technologies, the organizational and human dimensions are crucial. The congruence of "logistics" and "strategic" visions is also decisive.
We propose to adopt a differentiated vision of integration, and our article has proposed reading grids along these lines.
