  • Before setting up reverse logistics, we need to find the cause of the returns, so as to eliminate some of them and accept in the return chain those which have potential value for the company, or at least which will not jeopardize the financial profitability of a product range.

    For this first concrete phase of the study, it is necessary to approach retailers and/or wholesalers. Returns must be examined to verify that the cause indicated by the sender is accurate and justified. To do this, it is first necessary to identify all the problems that may have led to a return:

    • breakdown ;

    • the customer does not know how to use the product;

    • product obsolescence ;

    • too much stock at retailer and/or wholesaler...
