We'll see that for the companies consulted, the quality of the service provided by the deployment of an IS takes precedence over cost. We will present the case of 4 companies in the industrial sector:
a first-tier supplier to the automotive industry, which postpones its decision to invest when the investment is justified by an external obligation ("infinite" profitability), or which invests according to its success in tenders (deployment in its facilities located close to its customers' production sites);
a first-tier supplier in the aeronautics sector, using a set of criteria that includes cost (multi-criteria analysis);
two major agri-food groups who base their IS investments mainly on improving business management.
