1. Metals used

1.1 Steel

In theory, crates and pallets can be made from all kinds of metals, but for reasons of cost, ease of machining and welding, steel is most often the preferred choice.

We generally use commonly used structural steels (NF 138 Acier).

These steels are commercially available in various forms: plates, merchant bars, tubes and wires.

  • Sheet metal

    Cold-rolled plates are less than 3 mm thick. Hot-rolled plates are generally thicker than 3 mm. The steel used allows all common machining operations, such as shearing, punching, bending, light stamping and arc welding.
