"Don't receive, don't create, don't transmit defects; Stop producing rather than producing bad".

As 0 defects are still unattainable, this statement should be understood as follows: "Every effort must be made to get as close as possible to this result, and everyone must ensure that the causes of problems can be tackled so that production can continue as normal.

Applying this principle means satisfying the customer AND performing well.
