2. Design

  • Chassis

    This is the base that supports the elevator system and platform, and enables the machine to move.

    If it is to be moved manually, it must be fitted with wheels large enough to avoid any considerable effort on the part of personnel, and with devices to prevent any untimely movement.

    It can be fitted with stabilizers, the soles of which must be able to adapt to slopes or inclines of at least 10°.

    It must also be equipped with devices to indicate this level (e.g. spirit level).

    When the platform is mounted on a road vehicle, the latter must meet the requirements of the Highway Code.
