6. Drawing up a consultation file
Within industrial companies that build or use continuous mechanical handling equipment, engineers are regularly called upon to draw up consultation files or specifications. During a consultation, these complete and precise documents are sent to various manufacturers or assemblers to obtain costed proposals, delivery times and guarantees. The following points should be made clear to them.
Product constraints
It is necessary to give the characteristics of the product concerned (name, granulometry, grain shape, angle of repose, and other characteristic properties, moisture content, density) as well as the precautions to be taken when handling it.
