2. Simulation of trichromatic values

Free, open-source software (GIMP, VIPS, ColorCombinate...) offers image processing tools for modifying image color, changing color spaces... However, no software currently couples the results extracted from quantum mechanics with the perception of color according to the illuminant chosen. This coupling has been achieved thanks to the Gaussian03 program for theoretical chemistry and JQuickColor (available in Java™ ). JQuickColor allows, from quantum data of an organic dye, to visually simulate its absorption spectrum, reflection as well as its trichromatic values.

The program can also be used to calculate the trichromatic values of any colored surface...
