ABSTRACT

A new family of solid electrolytes, presenting liquid ionic properties has been developed. Their production is easy and inexpensive. The ionic transport has been significantly improved in these solid electrolytes through at least one bicontinuous interface between the liquid electrolyte (for instance the ionic liquid and a lithium salt) and a silica wall. This constitutes a solid electrolyte, a main part of which is a liquid, non-volatile under the conditions of use and confined within an open solid network.
