A non-parametric test is a test on samples of random variables whose probability distribution is unknown.
There are many such tests. We'll limit ourselves here to the most common tests.
4.1 Fit tests
After studying a sample taken from a population, we are led to choose a theoretical model. The nature of the distribution is assumed to be normal or binomial, depending on the case... We made assumptions of this type in the paragraph on parametric tests....
