9.1 General view

In theory, technical standards for the security of healthcare information systems, combined with regulatory measures, are designed to respond to any attack or failure. In reality, the gradual implementation of these provisions, even in developed countries, depends to a large extent on the level of staff training and the amount of funding allocated to these functions. The diversity of risks, linked to their relative importance, makes the selection of measures to be implemented more complex.
