11. And tomorrow
In a context of global equilibrium, Rockström et al. in 2009 worked on the concept of planetary limits and suggested the existence of nine limits that humanity must not exceed, so as not to compromise the favorable conditions in which it has been able to develop and continue to live in a healthy ecosystem. In 2015, three of these limits have already been exceeded (see figure 17 ).
