    A manufacturing plant supplies a suspension containing 15 g of crystals per kilogram in a liquid with a density of 1,020 kg · m -3 and a viscosity of 1.2 × 10 -3 Pa · s (1.2 cP).

Microscopic examination of the crystals showed their shape to be approximately isometric; sieve tests calculated their mean surface diameter to be 85 × 10 -6 m (85 µm). Their true density, taken from a table of constants, is 2,630 kg · m -3 .

Büchner filtration of a suspension sample produces a cake measuring...
