4. Operating problems

4.1 Dirt

If they are not due to the product itself, the source can have three origins:

  • inadequate insulation, particularly in reinforcements and supports ;

  • poor internal finish: sheet metal and/or welds. In both cases, a solution to the problem will be studied and implemented by the responsible party;

  • in the case of evaporation-crystallization, the production of large quantities of fines during start-up or when a parameter is changed too suddenly. In such cases, a normal, regular washing procedure will be applied. This is normally drawn up by the supplier, but can be adapted in the light of experience gained on site.
