9. Flue gas treatment systems

The pollutants contained in combustion fumes are either particulate solids (dust) or gaseous (HCl, SOx, NOx, etc.). After thermal recovery, the fumes must be dedusted and neutralized before being released into the atmosphere [14][40] .

A set of standards applies to these particulate and gaseous emissions.
