3. Test methodology

Given the number of commercial products on the market, the wide variety of application conditions recommended by their suppliers, and the results announced following various field tests, it is currently very difficult to give an opinion on the performance of a product on one or more odor compounds. As a result, there is persistent controversy about the real effectiveness of these products. In order to respond to growing demand, and to remove ambiguities and concerns about the use of these products, a more scientific approach had to be developed. A test bench was designed at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR) [9][10][11][12]
