4.1 Coding company

The circular of May 30, 1996 on the codification of legislative and regulatory texts specified that the aim of codification is to facilitate the implementation of the principle that "no one is supposed to ignore the law", and to enable citizens, elected representatives, civil servants and companies to better understand their rights and obligations. The method adopted is that of codification of existing law, known as "constant law". Scattered texts are brought together and organized in a coherent manner.

Consolidation differs from codification. It is a technique for presenting texts that consists in presenting an updated version, with no official value, incorporating all the amending texts that have occurred...
