4. Periodic inspection principles and procedures

Periodic inspection of certain classified facilities is different from other inspections that may be carried out on these facilities, and is therefore governed by a specific regulatory framework, both in terms of deadlines and organization.

4.1 Inspection and periodic inspection: two different concepts

The notion of inspection can encompass a range of situations that go beyond the periodic inspection of declared installations. In fact, the inspection of classified installations can carry out checks on the installation, and numerous checks linked to safety at work are also provided for by the French Labor Code.
