6. Conclusion

The analysis of trace VOCs in air is not an easy task, and requires many parameters to be taken into account. By way of summary, figure 28 summarizes the main choices open to the analyst, depending on the measurement objectives (sensitivity required, sampling time, etc.) and any material constraints (thermal or solvent desorption, etc.).
