4. Pre-application treatments

4.1 Separate treatment of elementary effluents

These treatments involve the specific purification of one or more separately collected effluents and are justified by :

  • Upgrading of by-products:

    • flotation in slaughterhouses ;

    • fiber recovery from paper mills.

  • Lower treatment costs for concentrated effluents:

    • desulfurization of refinery waste soda.

  • Detoxification before biological treatment:

    • removal of chromes, solvents and sulfides....
