6. Maintenance and management

Once created, a green space needs constant care to maintain its initial appearance and develop in the best possible conditions. This maintenance represents a significant expense, which can range from 5 to 20% of the cost of creation, depending on the type and surface area of the landscape, and requires the intervention of skilled personnel. Unfortunately, many managers ignore this fact, which often leads to the rapid dilapidation of these areas.

6.1 Company maintenance and warranty

Contracts for the creation of green spaces generally include a take-back guarantee clause ensuring that the company carrying out the work will replace plants that have disappeared, over a period of 1 or 2 years depending on the case (sometimes more).
