4. The use of LCAs and the quality of eco-labels
4.1 Lessons learned
Six years' experience in eco-label criteria studies has led us to recognize that :
LCAs of products representative of the group, and the participation of the manufacturers of these products, make it possible to establish ecological criteria on an assured basis;
LCAs of products already on the market are not always possible for a variety of reasons: available resources, producer reluctance, lack of inventory data.
