3. Agronomic trends to meet emerging social demands
Any new organization of agriculture has generated an organization – a regime, to use the term coined by sociologists – of research and innovation. What would be the characteristics of an innovation that takes up the three issues of the environment, the local and the multifunctionality of the territory?
We have seen that the industrial model corresponded to a linear organization of research, favoring an analytical-experimental approach whose main characteristics are :
the reduction of the object of research to make it "treatable" according to the epistemological canons in force;
segmentation of the innovation system: basic research, then applied research, then dissemination to stakeholders;
