2. Different solutions
To ensure that new electric and hybrid vehicle technologies continue to be promoted at a sufficiently high level of safety for them to be accepted, manufacturers, public authorities and NGOs (OICA, CLEPA, etc.) are working to advance the standards required for these vehicles. For pedestrian safety, various strategies are being considered, based on "driver" or "pedestrian" approaches . These solutions offer a range of services, from warning and alert to primary and secondary safety. For the most part, they are complementary and can often be non-acoustic, which is a benefit in terms of noise pollution.
