4.1 Objectives of other two-level plans
Full and fractional factorial designs are based on first-degree mathematical models. They cover most of the needs of experimenters in a roughing-out study. They will be used in the majority of cases.
Other two-level plans, also based on a first-degree mathematical model, have been developed for specific situations. We'll look at Koshal plans, Rechtschaffner plans, Plackett and Burman plans, Taguchi tables and supersaturated plans.
