
2. Wheatstone type bridges
2.1 Description and equilibrium condition
The basic scheme of Wheatstone-type bridges used in AC is the same as that of the Wheatstone bridge used in DC. It consists of four impedances noted Z 1 to Z 4 and associated, as shown in figure 1 . An AC voltage generator supplies the bridge between nodes A and B, and a voltmeter measures the voltage developed between nodes C and D.
