Definition
The thermal response time of a temperature sensor is the time taken for the sensor to respond to an instantaneous temperature variation (step) in its environment with a variation corresponding to a percentage of the step.
In practice, we know the response time of a sensor in one medium: air or water: we can only determine its response time in the medium of use if we know the laws of similarity. Let
