5. Conclusion

High pressures have been used for a wide variety of applications for many years. Recently, the development of high-pressure applications such as food sterilization, jet cutting systems or injection engines has led to renewed interest in this pressure range. The development of new models for pressures in excess of 1 GPa reflects the evolution of the sector towards very high pressures, and the growing need for measurement in this field. The development of traceable pressure standards becomes critical to provide a metrological basis for industry.
