3. Calibration and verification methods

For technical, historical and economic reasons, there are three main families of liquid flowmetering calibration methods, described in the following paragraphs. Each is based on a measurement principle adapted to the type of instrument to be calibrated. For each method, there are common elements linked to the flowing fluid, and distinct elements linked to the measurement principle.
