7. Conclusion and outlook

Nanodrones with vibrating wings have now reached a certain maturity in terms of the manufacturing process and aeroelastic modeling. Moreover, this prototype is a priori the first insect-sized one capable of creating lift through passive torsion, without any joints. Future objectives are, on the one hand, to produce sufficient lift for flight, and on the other, to design and implement the electronic functionalities required for remote control.

This new work includes using the modeling tools and experimental resources developed previously to optimize the structure and electromagnetic actuation in terms of weight and energy consumption.

Then the aim will be to obtain the optimal kinematics required for the flight of the artificial insect. The aeroelastic tool will help determine the most suitable wing geometry, and experiments will complement...
