8. Simulation challenges in industry and education
It's the economic context that is driving industrial companies towards simulation. In large groups, simulation platforms are gradually being set up, initially mainly by the research departments, and then, step by step, by the design offices. In the case of smaller companies, it is more often than not the commitment of an engineer who appears to be more of a visionary. As with any tool, this evolution influences thinking, which demands new software functionalities. In this mutation of design methods, it is the implication on the organizations of industrial companies that is likely to make the difference between competing companies.
