2.1 Model

All technical disciplines now tend to make models. These models are mathematical, because mathematics is the language of abstraction and is understood by digital simulators. The model, implemented in a digital computer, is asked to simulate in accelerated time what happens in the real physical world. There are two types of model: knowledge models and representation models.
