In this article, we have presented three algorithms for solving the problem of placing irregular shapes.

Algorithms derived from A*, Aε (and Rδ ), are semi-exhaustive search strategies using heuristic functions to explore a large search space. This property enables the search to be confined to a limited area of the search space. These methods are often used for both local and exhaustive searches....
