4. Application study: Alograf
Alograf is a software workshop that enables high-performance automation applications to be developed in PLC language and on a standard IT platform, then loaded and run on an "open" target machine: open PLC, industrial computer, industrial PC or dedicated microcomputer board.
Compliant with the IEC 61131 standard, Alograf produces compiled and optimized C or C++ code directly from a Grafcet description, enabling the structuring and realization of fast, deterministic real-time acquisition and control applications.
Alograf's "stability-aware" Grafcet processing algorithm (AARS) guarantees deterministic, synchronous automation behavior, in line with the recommendations of IEC 60848. This algorithm, combined with a sampling mechanism based on Shannon's work, enables Alograf to respect the temporal aspects of the Grafcet.
