2. Method status

Figure 1 shows the position of solid-state voltammetry among other electroanalytical techniques. For this purpose, we have classified dynamic electroanalytical methods for characterizing electrochemical reactions into two categories, differentiated by the amplitude of the excitation signal. For a full description of the methods, we have also considered those based on measurements in the absence of current (at equilibrium) and those based on measurements under non-negligible electrolysis conditions (coulometry).
