6.1 A few examples

Spectrophotometry is used in many fields: chemistry, pharmaceuticals, environment, food processing, biology, etc., both in the laboratory and on industrial sites. The possibilities offered by multivariate analysis, which enables the analysis of several constituents while limiting spectral or physico-chemical interference phenomena, have opened up new uses, particularly for industrial analysis. Manufacturers publish numerous application notes (see Internet addresses in ).
